More About Shasta: Shasta was a border collie lab mix I adopted from a friend who had adopted her from A&M's vet school. At first she was very timid around loud noises and had a few interesting quirks from being a lab pet. She was a very sweet baby though, and we had a good five years together.
I had her put to sleep just after Thanksgiving after she started suffering from congestive heart failure and was no longer able to enjoy life. I was there with her the whole time and held her as she passed on. I had her body cremated and they are now in a beautiful urn which sits on my entertainment center until I can find a good place to hang it on the wall.
